All Smeal units are NFPA compliant and ULC certified and listed. We test all our designs and machines extensively, and we meet or exceed all minimum NFPA and ULC standards regarding structural safety factors, stability testing, and performance testing. Smeal platforms have a 1500 GPM flow rating with monitor capabilities of 45º up and down, and a full 180º horizontal sweep. Flows of 2000 GPM are also available.When minimum stabilizer setup requirements have been achieved, the maximum ratings of the platform remain constant, regardless of the elevation, extension, or rotational placement of the aerial. Our rear mounts are set at a negative 8º to a positive 72º operation range. The 100' Rear Mount Platform provides 21.5 square feet of inside working area, and is comprised of an innovative four-section modular platform that allows for cost-effective replacement if any part of it is damaged. The platform's front entry gates open outward to maximize interior work efficiency and can be folded back on double hinges to enable full access. In addition to its many safety features, the 100' Rear Mount Platform also offers a continuous handrail leading from the ladder to the the platform to protects climbers and a strategically positioned repelling arm to allow for safer entrance and exit.
