The 100' Mid Mount Aerial offers all of the same features as the other Smeal aerials, except this unit is a midship mounted aerial, with a 5-section structure to achieve the travel height of 10' to get into those old firehouses. This apparatus can also be configured for other travel heights, such as 10' 6", 11', 11' 2", 11' 4", 11' 6". Each increase in travel height increases the amount of compartmentalization. The aerial is rated with a 500 lb. tip load while flowing 1,250 GPM, no restrictions. The Smeal exclusive CP-84 Waterway is the strongest, most durable waterway on the market and is standard on this model. A galvanized inner coating prevents corrosion of the 84,000 psi pipe while the exterior waterway is chrome plated to provide a smooth telescopic movement throughout the entire extension and retraction of the aerial ladder.
