Unique Combination of Design & Technology INNOTEX ENERGY, the newest NFPA 1971 Turnout Gear. Its unique combination of design and construction innovations enhances mobility and evaporative cooling.
Being a firefighter is demanding. You intervene in all sorts of situations, some involving extremely high risks. It requires determination, rigorous training . . . and certainly passion. At INNOTEX®, we understand. We therefore proudly introduce the INNOTEX ENERGY, our newest NFPA 1971 Turnout Gear. Why do we call it the INNOTEX ENERGY? Because its unique combination of design and construction innovations enhances mobility and evaporative cooling. That means you expend less energy fighting your gear and heat stress . . . and have more energy for doing what firefighters do best: saving lives and fighting fires. During the development of the INNOTEX ENERGY, we followed four guiding principles:
- Protection without comprise. While improving several aspects of the Turnout Gear, we kept the protective integrity offered by the best Turnout Gear on the market.
- Comfort like you’ve never experienced before. A number of innovations make the INNOTEX ENERGY the most comfortable Turnout Gear you’ve ever worn on the fireground.
- Increased Durability, learned mainly from our in-house NFPA 1851 Center for Turnout Gear inspection, maintenance and repair. The center allowed us to identify the failures common to all Turnout Gear on the market thereby helping us develop new features that improve durability. How would you like to significantly reduce your maintenance costs as well as the bodily risks associated with garment failure? The INNOTEX ENERGY has you covered.
- Greater Usefulness. In other words, we developed practical innovations to help you perform better and more efficiently.
Our thanks go to the many firefighters and professionals in the fire service who advised and guided us during our development of the INNOTEX ENERGY.
It’s yours to discover now.

Features
COAT
- Ergo-Design - The greater mobility allows you to react quickly and precisely and the integrated lower back provides increased coat-pant overlap
- Airflow™ (Patent Pending) - utilizes a three-dimensional padding system that cushions the SCBA while creating Airflow™ channels. Built with heavy-duty mesh and precisely shaped, closed-cell foam, the Airflow™ channels manage perspiration while eliminating the sealed-envelope effect area when wearing an SCBA
- NO-GAP™ Liner Attachment - utilizes a continuous Vision® (high temp polymer) zipper providing uninterrupted protection
- Variable Height Collar - comfort and protection are key, so the collar provides a contoured design having a 4" back transitioning to a 3" front
- NO-BULK™ Coat Front Closure - consists of a robust Vision® (high temp polymer) zipper acting as the primary closure, and a 3" storm flap with 1.5" wide Hook & Loop fastener serving as a secondary closure
- Integrated NO-GAP™ throat flap with padded, easy-grab pull tabs that secure the coat front with one Easy Close™ motion for continuous protection
- Full Motion NoSeam™ Shoulder - minimum coat rise is achieved with this design feature
- Dual Metabolic Zones (Patent Pending) - outer shell and thermal barrier properties have been optimized to create the Dual Metabolic Zones. The increased THL in high-perspiration zones provides increased comfort and reduced heat stress
- Profiled Pockets - the location of the profiled pockets, as well as their angled openings, allow for easy access, even when wearing SCBA. These pockets greatly reduce bulk when bending and crawling, and eliminate possible snagging. They offer a unique zipper closure, an inside pocket made with mesh for greater breathability, as well as full fleeced hand warmers
- Reflective Piping - seams come with retroreflective piping for increased visibility at night and in confined spaces
- Segmented Trim - the breathable segmented 3M trim meets NFPA stored energy requirements without requiring and modification or additional layers. Provides excellent reflectivity in low-light and nightime conditions
- Durability Seams - body-panel and sleeve seams are strategically placed to reduce abrasion and provide greater durability, thus reducing maintenance and repair costs
- High Density Bar Tacks - used on all stress points
PANTS
- NO-GAP™ Liner Attachment - utilizes a continuous Vision® (high temp polymer) zipper providing uninterrupted protection
- Waist Belt - to reduce fatigue, the waist belt carries the pant weight on the hips instead of the shoulders - can be used with or without suspenders
- Complete Motion Crotch - a premium design giving full freedom of movement
- NO-BULK™ Pant Front Closure - consists of a robust Vision® (high temp polymer) zipper acting as the primary closure, and a 2" fly with 1.5" wide Hook & Loop which acts as the secondary closure
- Grabber on Fly - the fly is equipped with a padded, easy-to-grip pull-tab for faster grabs when wearing gloves
- Full Motion Leg Design - allows for unrestricted range of motion
- Enhanced Mobility Knee™ - designed to minimize climbing effort and knee displacement or rise during walking, climbing, kneeling and crawling. The optimal padding construction provides added comfort and protection for the knees
- Dual Metabolic Zones (Patent Pending) - outer shell and thermal barrier properties have been optimized to create the Dual Metabolic Zones. The increased THL in high-perspiration zones provides increased comfort and reduced heat stress
- Full Bellows Pockets - large 10" X 10" full bellows pockets for increased volume come equipped with padded, easy-to-grip pull-tab pocket flaps. Inverted semi-bellow pockets are also available on the front side of the thigh, thereby permitting a wide range of sues and easier access when standing or sitting
- Durability Seams - leg seams are strategically placed to reduce abrasion and provide greater durability, thus reducing maintenance and repair costs
- DuraHem Leg Hem - a rounded hem edge made of polymer coated aramid which lessens wear and tear while the double seam embedded in the outer shell fabric helps prevent thread abrasion
- High Density Bar Tacks - used on all stress points
